One beneficiary per family, PM-Kisan recipients excluded and no Krishak Bandhu payment date announced yet.
The next Krishak Bandhu payment has not reached farmers’ accounts since the Rabi installment earlier this year, and the next round depends on a statewide re-verification of every existing beneficiary. For farmers in Murshidabad, as elsewhere in West Bengal, the question is whether their names clear that check before the Krishak Bandhu payment is released. No date has been announced.
The Krishak Bandhu payment rules announced on September 28
State Agriculture Minister Dudh Kumar Mondal announced the changes on Monday, September 28. Millennium Post reported the following:
- Only one member per family will be covered, ending the earlier practice of several members of one household receiving aid.
- PM-Kisan recipients are excluded from Krishak Bandhu (New), and the reverse also applies.
- PM-Kisan farmers will receive ₹9,000 a year, made up of ₹6,000 from the Centre and ₹3,000 from the state.
- The department is removing fake beneficiaries, income-tax payers and government employees.
The Sarkari Yojana tracker reports the slabs from the press meet as ₹4,000 a year for up to 40 decimal of land and ₹10,000 above that. The tracker’s own pages differ on the upper figure, and it notes that no formal order has yet appeared on the portal.
How the Krishak Bandhu Payment verification works
The drive rests on Government Order 617-AG/O/9M(NAB)-35/2026, dated July 3, 2026, on rationalisation and verification under Krishak Bandhu (Natun). Beneficiaries must fill the two-page Annexure-I form and submit it on paper at the Block Agriculture Officer’s office. The first deadline was July 30. It was later extended, and the late-September notification gave pending farmers 10 more days, which ran out in early October.
The form asks for:
- the KB ID
- bank details and the Aadhaar-linked mobile number
- Aadhaar and EPIC numbers
- land details from the record of rights (JL number, khatian, plot numbers and area)
- spouse details
- whether the applicant gets PM-KISAN, pays income tax or holds a government job
Photocopies of Aadhaar, voter ID, the first page of the bank passbook and the land record (RoR, patta or barga) go with it. The acknowledgement slip signed by the official should be kept.
A Directorate of Agriculture circular (Memo No. 108/KBN/2026, September 3) tightened the process. Supervisors were told to re-check 2 to 5 percent of approved cases against the physical forms, with each officer reviewing at least 500 cases within 10 days. The final approve-or-exclude decision rests with the block-level Assistant Director of Agriculture or the Deputy Director (Administration). DBT preparations were to be ready by mid-September.

What exists for Murshidabad
A district-wise payment list for 2026 has not surfaced. The tracker says the portal publishes no village-wise PDF, so each farmer has to look up their own record. The Murshidabad district website posts Krishak Bandhu Death Benefit DBT lists from the Assistant Director of Agriculture offices at Berhampore and Kandi. The most recent seen covers September 1 to 15, 2025. The death benefit is ₹2 lakh to the family of a registered farmer aged 18 to 60.
Checking a record
The portal’s ➤farmer search page accepts Aadhaar, Voter ID, acknowledgement number, mobile number, bank account number or KB ID. It shows the approval status and payment details:
- “Approved” and “ADA Approved” mean the application has moved through the approval stages.
- “Pending” means a step is still open.
- “Payment Clear” or “Transaction Success” means the money has been sent.
Helplines are 8336957370 and 6291720406 (10 am to 6 pm), with payment details on WhatsApp at 9830383383.
